Not anywhere near worth the price.

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
I lived at Woodland Apartments for a year, and will be leaving at the end of the month. I haven't had a good experience here. The apartment itself is nice enough, but small and shows it's age in some places. Apartments have a wall sleeve for air conditioners, but you have to provide your own AC, and it cost me $500 to get one that would fit in the sleeve. At the time, this seemed worthwhile because the rent was reasonable ($925 per month, all utilities included)but they now intend to raise the rent to $1050 per month! I am astonished by this price, as I'm not even sure the apartment was worth what I paid. They are charging luxury apartment prices for apartments that are nowhere near that level of quality.
My biggest issue with the apartment has been the service. The grounds and hallways are always dirty. Six months ago, a tenent put a big hole in the wall outside my apartment while moving furniture, and the hole has yet to be repaired despite my complaints. Several weeks after I moved in, my hot water heater broke and leaked water all over the small room it's housed in, warping the all tile in that room. While they did fix the hot water heater promptly, they left the wet, warped tile as it was for over a month! I had to call at least four times before they fixed it. I had several other problems that required the immediate attention of maintainance, and it consistantly took weeks for them to respond. In addition, the office staff is disorganized and disinterested. On several occasions, they sent me threatening notices saying that I didn't pay my rent, didn't give them notice that I was leaving, etc. In each case, I had done everything I was supposed to do and they had just misfiled paperwork. Also, beware of the "free utilities", as they have threatened to charge tenants for "excessive" use of electricity. Read the lease terms regarding utilities carefully.
I don't mean to sound bitter, but I've been renting for several years now, and I
know that anyone looking for an apartment can do much better, especially for $1000 a month.
