i am writing this review as a warning to all who is planning on renting a cottage from durkin. i had visited a friend who rented a cottage from this company and stayed the night. we were woken up in the morning from a lunatic miss durkin who had told us that there were to many guests staying in the house and told us to go back to the city where we belong and that we where a bunch of drunkards. yes drunkards trying to talk down to us as if we where little kids. and not working professionals which she is no way near. it was the worst and most enraging morning ive had ruined my vacation . do yourself a favor do not rent from durkin she will talk down to you

I agree There are alot of things coming out about the Durkin family down here that we didnt know.

I am Ms. Durkin and would like to respond to this review. There were 2 single women with childeren vacationing next door to these renters. They called @ 11 in the morning to say that these people were up all night drinking, using foul language and that there was even a small child in the midst of all this. When the women asked them to please stop at around 2 am, the women were sworn at and then they started blowing their horns to aggravate them and became extrememly beligerent. These women were afraid to leave their home! That is why I went over at 11 in the morning to find people passed out all over the floor, with liquor/beer bottles all around the grounds and the house. I feel sorry for whoever has to live near these people because they do not know how to be good neighbors. We at Durkin Cottages try our hardest to make sure that the people we rent to are responsible and know how to have a good time without disturbing/scaring those around them with their abusive nature. Sometimes they fall through the cracks....
