If you don't need section 8 housing, I would not move here. There are a lot of better places in newport to live. Compared to Tonomy Hill Housing Authority it is not that back for subsidized housing. I lived there back in 2000(in Festival Field). I lived there for a year to get on my feet after a divorce. It is ok for a short term 1 yr lease if you have young children who will not know the difference. But if you have older children, it is not the place to go. Too much crime, violence...etc..

I agree totally!!Two..yes two of my siblings live in that dump.The property manager is unorganised and unfriendly.It takes weeks if not months for the management to schedule maintenence to fix anything. People leave garbage all over the place..in hall ways and on the grounds.If you start to complain to the property manager she takes it as a personal attack and puts you on a little black list ,harrasing you evry chance she gets....making false accusations...and trying to avict for bogus reasons. Festival Feilds is a trashy plase to live and has gotten ten times worse in the last year alone.

HAHAHAHA! i live in Newport THIRTY YEARS, and not only can i confirm all of this, but i cannot say much for Newport Green Apartments either! (www.newportgreen.com) _______furthermore_______ i have warned the Fire Department, and Hibernians - this is the beginning of the end for your gangstyle influence...we are now watching! Any retaliatory response will be considered your acknowledgement of the problem. Every Newport figure and department has a blacklist, Newport Green Apartments (www.newportgreen.com) does the same things. Blacklisting, harrassment, false accusations in persuit of evictions, dirty tactics. Spearheaded by former longtime manager Judy Davenport (www.judydavenport.com)
