Cornerstone owns this building as well as nearby complexes known as Slater House and Slater Hill. I lived at Slater Hill. Office staff at Cornerstone is very Nice! But being nice and doing their job efficiently are two different things. They are often slow in responding to your needs.

They are also slow in getting anything cosmetic fixed. Lots of stained carpeting and peeling paint throughout. It looks very run down. The elevators have not been inspected in years and there is a major roach problem. The exterminators would come but it never solved the problem for long.

Maintenance department is friendly. However they seem to busy to actually get around to everything. Sometimes multiple calls will need to be made to get something fixed for good. If something is cosmetic they may promise to get around to it, but never return.

The doors have to much open space underneath which will allow just about any rodent to crawl under your door into your apartment. The last night I lived there I actually saw a mouse run out of my apartment underneath the crack in the door. I couldn't believe my eyes. The next day several residents verified that there are mice as well as bed bugs in the building in addition to the Roaches I had to deal with.

The Windows are an absolute Nightmare. They leak like Crazy. During heavy rainstorms I had to actually line the window sills with Towels to soak up all the water coming into the apartment. Maintenance later told me that all the apartments are like that. Great..... How comforting to know that "ALL THE WINDOWS SUCK!" If you move here just pray that it never rains.

I had a guest sleep over one night and her Car was broken into and Radio stolen. Another resident had their tires slashed. This same resident stated that the same thing happened to them the year before. So on the average of once a year something may possibly happen to your vehicle if you live here. Keep that in mind. The Building has security Guards. However they leave by 2 AM each morning. After that you are on your own. So I'm not even sure why they have security at all. Vandals will just wait till 3 AM to break into your Car.

Building is also right next to the freeway and close to the downtown area of Pawtucket. So traffic noise and frequent sirens are common.

Pawtucket water is bad. You definitely will not want to drink it. Your tub will soon be rusty too. Some of the worst town water I've ever experienced. So plan on purchasing bottled water.

Bedrooms don't have phone jacks or cable TV outlets. You'll need to run wires in from the other room like I did.

Half of your Apartment will have prison walls. Big white bricks to call your own. It's as if they were to cheap to actually finish making the walls to the apartments. Definitely not a cozy look.

To sum it all up, I'm happy to say that I no longer live there. This isn't the sort of place you are going to want to show off to your friends. Slater Hill is only a small step up from homelessness.
