I was 19 when I moved here. Little did I know it was a senior citizen community. However, there were other "younger" tenants. The rent was fair for a studio apartment. Maintenance was always taken care of within 24 hours and the people in the office were always helpful and kind. In the 3 years I've lived there the only complaints were that my neighbors were noisy.

My first studio, I lived underneath a hearing disabled person who would keep me up all hours of the night. After complaining to the office they moved me to another studio apartment. THEN, I lived below a very RUDE man (who was eventually kicked out) who would play Patsy Cline music until all hours of the night. I tried to confront this man, but would never answer the door. I complained to the office (I was not the only person who complained) and they were trying to evict him.

Another creepy thing was that while living there I saw 2 burglaries across the street and heard gun shots down the street in the middle of the night.

Overall, if you don't mind living in a predominantly senior community the building is not that bad. The premises the overall well maintained and well lit. After I moved out, Whole Foods Market moved across the street. The neighborhood is OK, but if you are not used to city life, you may not adjust well.
