I lived here for one year with minimal problems, and minimal assistance when had problems, but the big thing here is when it came time to move out of our apartment.

We gave them 30 days notice in writing before the end of the lease to inform them of our intent to vacate, even calling to confirm that they received this notice. they did.

Also, in a move-out sheet they gave us it said that it was required that we professionally steam clean the carpets. When we called the office to ask if it would be okay to rent a steam cleaner, it was okayed by a staff member, twice!

Two weeks after we moved out we receive notice that our $1000 security deposit was being withheld and they were tacking on an extra $350 in cleaning charges, of which steam cleaning was included.

My roommate went to get an explanation from Harry Bilodeau (owner and candidate for city council) only to be rudely told that we were not to believe anything that his staff had told us. He said, "Maybe you've been successful your whole life that you can't see that you've made a mistake." Even with the staff member that had told us that cleaning the carpets ourselves present, Bilodeau still insisted that we were wrong, or that we didn't clean it well enough.

We hope to never have anything to do with Bilodeau ever again, and warn anyone else strongly of our story if they are thinking of looking at any place that they manage or own.
