I remember being a little kid and wishing my family had a pool in our backyard, although I knew for a fact that they would never install one. My mother never learned how to swim and I'm pretty sure that's the reason she didn't want a pool in our yard (she might be too old for swim lessons now). Fortunately for me all of my friends had pools and other activities at their house that occupied most of my time as a teenager...but now as an adult...I can enjoy the lap pool at my new apartment. This place get's 2 thumbs up!
