Although a bit on the pricey side, if your after proximity to downtown with the conveniences of an upscale apartment community, it may be worth it. They have a gym and pool, both modern and surprisingly not very busy. No need to buy a gym membership.
With a handful of exceptions I find most of the neighbors to be of the young professional types. They do allow pets and I have a neighbor whose dog I can hear barking from time to time, but that's about it as far as complaints go.
The staff are kind and helpful. The one maintenance problem I had was taken care of right away. I did once come across a staff member that seemed more interested in his cell phone than helping me, but I later found out his father owns the building, which probably explained it.
