The apartments themselves are lovely, renovated, and spacious. Parking is ample.

HOWEVER, the neighborhood is a total nightmare. EVERYONE I knew who lived there had their car vandalized, broken into, or stolen. I have seen people with guns, drugs, and often heard screaming (both for help, and just rowdy teens) well into the night. My neighbor was an abusive alcoholic, who was a terror to live near. Although the surrounding area is nice (Whole Foods Market, Brown University, RISD, wealthy neigborhoods), University Hights has many problems with domestic violence, property destruction, and general safety issues. Upon my first week living there (and my first car robbed), an area police officer actually told me that it was a bad idea to live there (!!!). Find someplace else- don't let management smooth talk you into this place.

There are many SOCIAL problems that aren't evident from just looking at a brand new appartment. If you aren't convinced, just go around to a few apartments and ask opinions. Boy, will you get them.

I am also a current tenant at this location. I agree with this honest critic 100%. And this is just the tip of the ice burg. DO NOT LET MANAGEMENT SMOOTH talk you into this place!
