I lived at Wayland Manor for a year. It started off ok, nothing major to complain of. The concierge was rather rude and unhelpful (except Virginia). I would come home many times struggling with packages while the male concierge would stare at me as he buzzed me in and watched me floundering with the door. I was accused of giving a 'fraudulent' (big word to throw at someone in the legal field) phone number. However, I had gone to the SAME concierge and watched him write down my phone number on THREE different occasions. And seriously, what purpose would it serve me to continuously give my apartment building a wrong number''' I also experienced a mass leak in my ceiling and flood. The maintenance was pretty quick to patch it, but never came back to repair the exposed ceiling despite my requests. Furthermore, I had an infestation of pantry moths that lasted for well over a month. When I brought it to the management's attention they had the maintenance come and look at it. The maintenance man proceeded to tell gross stories that they had heard of these moths and did NOTHING to remedy the situation. As I prepared to vacate my apartment I was caught off guard one day in my apartment when the property manager tried to enter my apartment without having giving me the requisite notice. Needless to say I was upset. The next day I received an extremely hostile letter from the property manager. When I called to confront her about the situation I was met with hostility and extremely unprofessional accusations. The building is HORRIBLY managed and EXTREMELY overpriced. This experience has left me very frustrated and disgusted with Capstone Properties and the property management. I do not recommend living in this building. I have had several friends that have also had problems with this building and how it is run. They are sweet and lovely when they want your money, but once they get it...the wolf comes out of the sheeps clothing. Customer service in this building does not exist.
