The structure itself, the parking lot & immediate grounds are in good shape. However, just like doing time in a prison, you will always hear rules about what you cannot do and the immediate threat of eviction for violating the rules. Some of the activities @ The Rand Place give further evidence to your imagination, convincing you that you are being punished and subjected to a "halfway house" where prisoners are paroled to. The owners of The Rand Place, as well as the management office {Ferland Property Managment) are concerned w/renting apts. there to anyone whom can pay the rents. It don't matter if you are constantly drunk and passed out on the floors in common areas, just pay your rent and you can do that. It don't matter that you are a prostitute terrorizing the seniors w/physical violence and selling your sexual favors, just pay the rent and you can do that. It don't matter if you are lurking in the stairwalls to ply your trade selling illegal drugs, just pay your rent and you can do that. It don't matter if you steal another tenant's car, just pay your rent and you can do that. It don't matter if you crap on the floor in the elevator, just pay your rent and you can do that. It don't matter that you are a scam artist, just pay your rent and you are free to scam anyone. It don't matter that you are a gossiper whom constantly stirs up trouble for others, pay you rent and it is a-okay. It is not important that you be a good person, do not get complained on, keep your apt spotless, do not make any noise, do not complain on others and pay your rent on time....because the on-site management will pick on you because it is easier to do so to you than the "criminal elements" whom dwell there. If you happen to be in Rhode island and get into some skirmish with the law, when you appear in Court, simply tell the Judge you want to be paroled to The Rand Place...home of the criminal element, The Rand Place where you can continue your criminal education and further your criminal skills.
