I lived in a subsection of Cowesett Hills (Brookside Village) but it was managed by the same group of individuals as Cowesett Hills.



I had the worst experience living in this dump. The building was old and the rent is way overpriced. The toilet in the apt above me kept overflowing into my apartment soaking my carpets, ruining the ceilings and damaging my furniture. One time I had to call maintenance in the middle of night and the maintenance man had the nerve to ask to use MY plunger (totally unprepared). It was disgusting. I continually complained to mgt. They tried cleaning the carpets and getting the moisture out but this was a basement apartment and mold starting to form. They should have replaced the carpets, repaired the ceilings and fix the plumbing. The stench was unbearable and the mold was just gross. I had no choice but to break my lease. I have chidren and could not have them exposed to such poor health conditions. I should have reported Picerne to the Dept of Health because they?re now trying to sue me for a lease termination fee - GIVE ME A BREAK! I wouldn?t have had to break the lease if Picerne maintained and managed their properties better.
