infuriating!

I?ve lived in this complex for 2 years. They advertise "luxury" but deliver cut-rate quality. From ineffective and shoddy repairs to old, sub-par appliances, the overall effect is not noticeable until you move in (don?t take the "model unit" as an example of what you actually get), since the grounds are actually fairly attractive. I have a serious problem with the way the building heat is occasionally "unavailable". The building construction is also an issue. Exterior windows/doors have poor insulation, so drafts are common and constant. Interior walls are thin and uninsulated, so any noise is clear to (and from) neighbors. The proximity to the airport and highway may be handy for travelers, but to the rest of us, it simply assures an ample supply of noise.
There is no assigned parking and on weekends, you may end up parking in the next lot over from your building. Trash pick-up is regular, but not frequent enough to keep it from being a problem in the summer. It?s unfortunate that the realty company tries to run this place on the cheap, since the staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful whenever I?ve contacted them.
ADDENDUM: despite being assured that I was allowed to paint, I was charged the amount of my deposit for "repainting" after I vacated - believe NOTHING they tell you and get EVERYTHING in writing!!
