I used to visit a friend who lived here during the 1980's, and the place was awesome then. My wife and I moved in last fall after returning to RI from another state we lived in for 12 years. Big disappointment. They will spend money on things like landscaping to make sure that prospective new tenants feel as though they're entering shang-ri-la when they drive in, but that's it. We had a closet door fall completely off its hinges when I tried to open it about 3 days after we moved in. The maintenance guy they sent over was great.....told me the door was shot and that he would order a new one. His supervisor showed up and I listened to their conversation from the other room. The supervisor decreed that no new door would be ordered.....they would hang the existing door again one way or the other. They did.....upside down, and it hasn't worked right ever since. We probably would have stayed here for another 2 or 3 years, but can't wait until our lease is up so we can get out. Picerne is very happy to take your check to the bank, but doesn't want to do anything beyond that - at least at this complex.
