Rent was again just increased again, over a 40% increase since moving in. They just increased the month-to-month over base rental fee from $40 per month to $100 per month. They attempt to update things occasionally but don't clean up or fix the small stuff. After changing the lights in our the hallway, they left the wall with markings and dents from the old fixtures. They replaced our toilet, and it still doesn't sit properly on the floor and wobbles whenever you use it. After fixing an issue with our heat, they left the radiator apart. The wind blows through the windows and doors. They change the rules of the property on a whim. When we moved in they showed us an apartment that had wallpaper on the walls and was painted. They said we could do whatever we wanted and now they say you can't paint. It was a very different place when we decided to move in. Experience with the staff in the office has been less than a pleasure. There is a new property manager everytime you call. One tells you something and then they are gone and oh well for you, you have to start all over again. They tell you they will fix or replace things and don't. The "decks" that you are not allowed to go on or put anything on are rotting and falling apart. We had construction in our back yard for a whole summer to "fix" the decks, and they replaced one section on one floor. They eliminated the recycle bins with no notice, reason, or alternative for those of us who care about the environment. The grounds around the club house and along the main road are nice. I guess to impress potential new residents. The fitness center is a joke. It was closed for quite some time and may still be...had to join a gym. You can't walk to the club house without getting chased by geese. Snow removal was good for a few years; however, they changed the maintenance staff and all I can say is what snow removal. The parking lots are not well lit. This is our second experience in a Picerne Property and neither has been great. This one is much worse though. I think Picerne has gotten too big and forgot what customer service is. We only live here because of the school system. One year left, and we will be very happy to move on.
