First let me say. I use to LOVE living here. But things have changed! I've lived in 2 apt. I upgraded a few years ago. and Yes they do charge you to "break your lease". Back then it was $500 Now it's $1000. I was looking to up grade again. Now I can't wait to leave. when I first moved here heat was included. The next year we were tolded we had to pay for the heat "we used". We got New windows and sliders and WE PAID for them also. Rent jumped 5% that year. And it still doesn't cut the draft coming in. I've called several times & they tell me there is nothing they can do. Now over the pasted couple of years we have gotten a service charge for the heat $2. Now $3.02. And a Base engery fee. $7 a month. No one could explain what this was for. But we paid it. NOW this year the base engery fee is up to $26 dollar for one bed and $45 -$50 dollars for 2 bed. And this doesn't include the heat that you used. Which in a lot of people's cases the energy fee is MORE than the heat bill. We are tolded that this is base engery fee is to maintain the water heats in our building. Well if you figure it out it's costing each building $852.95 to maintain the water heater so we can get heat. Friends of mine signed a lease before i got to talk to them. They are renting the same size apt. Updated for $150 less than what I'm paying and they are bringing a dog. The office also tells current tentants that they are going to be making pets buildings. My friend said no it's a pet friendly community. Dogs can go in any building. I love animals. But this was the biggest mistake this place could have made. The Dogs bark all day long. And in the summer is worse. Everyone leaves the windows open and these poor things cry and bark until the owners come home. One dog barks they all get going, and the dog poop. No one picks up after their dogs. It's use to be so peaceful, quite & Safe place to live. You could walk @ night by yourself and feel comfortable. Kids come into the complex driving fast. Hanging out, music blasting, fighthing. And if you call the office they tell you to call the police. It's just not what it was. That's really too bad. It was a great place to live @ one point.

Fair Housing doesn't allow properties to direct people into one building or another based on the fact that they own a pet. A pet friendly community must be just that. Although the pets make it tough with noise, they are not people and you can't tell them to just be quiet. If you are living in a place with pets, then you should know that before you move in. As far as troubled teens causing noise, I would have to agree with them on that note too. They are not law enforcement, and cannot control what people do. All they can do is just ask someone to leave the grounds or stop what they are doing, but in today's world, would you want to be that person or would you call the police too?

you sound very much that your work for RC. I was there WAY before the Dogs!!! They use to have security on the property @ night. One of the MANY perks. That is no longer the case. Just saying it has gone DOWN Hill in the last few years. Think twice. Glad I'm not there anymore. ( lived there for 6 (six) years. )
