I have been here for 2 years now and I must say that I can't see where the complaints are coming from. I take my kids (which I feel are very safe here) to movie night almost every month and we play in what i call our huge backyard, and never have any issue. There were Geese, but they have been removed and relocated off the property. The rent goes up each year so far, but about 20-30 dollars. My taxes went up alot more than that.
All of my service needs have been met without any complaints. I have seen 4 people move through the staff at the office, but 2 were promoted, one left and the other came form another one of their communites to help out and is now staying.
People who complain seem to exaggerate when they have a bad experience, and I am one of them, but this place is not bad at all.

It is so obvious this is from an Aimco employee. That's a professional picture. Who cares about the promotions within the office? I never kept track of that. I just know they were rude to me when I came in to request a repair. I'm just glad ot be gone.

I agree with the other comment. This review screams AIMCO employee. No apartment place is perfect. Even the best in the area have their down sides. I love the place I live now but it has its cons as well as pros. I lived at Royal Crest for a year and there were many more bad points then good which equals out to a bad place to live in my book.
To people thinking about living at Royal Crest, take the review above with a grain of salt.

Who cares where the photo came from, or who moved where in the office. Frankly, IF this person actually lives at Royal Crest and is not an employee (which would shock me), he/she has had an experience that I haven't heard from ANYONE that's ever lived there. Even one of my former neighbors that lives there isn't thrilled about it, and he's been there for 8 years. He mentions how the office staff is best suited to not talk. I have other neighbors in my new apartment complex now, who also moved from Royal Crest, and are sharing in the great joy that is known as leaving Royal Crest behind. Seriously...there is no way anybody can give this place a five star rating. I suspect someone with AIMCO saw the below 50% recommendation rating and decided it needed to be boosted.

Wow you guys are harsh. I didnt give all perfect scores, nor did I say anything about the place being perfect. I just said that I have not had the issues that you all are talking about. I was in MA before and I had tons of issues where I used to live, and I am just happy not to have to deal with those anymore. Maybe there are things that i don't deal with here, but this is a site to voice your own opinions and I did that. I don't see the issue with "very nice place to live" That is about as common of an answer that anyone can give. And what does Royal Crest 06-08 mean? Isn't it still 2008?

It is really simple....This place like so many other around the US are owned by AIMCO. Their moto is literally to make the most money possible for our investors. The staff is trained to lie(Believe me I know first hand!) and if you got the cash you are welcomed with open arms. They would rather spend thousands of dollars on flowers and making the grounds look nice enough to attract new fools who dont know any better, than to spend it on the totally outdated apartments that they cover up rather than fix.
Bug situation...this place is and will always be infested. I have seen the files and know how long term this problem is. The exterminator has a weekly scheduleing time for Thursdays. EVERY WEEK!!!! I watched as bed bugs spread from one apartment to another then from building to building. Going to see this place for the first time? Be careful... the building where they show their "Model Home" is one of the bed bug buildings. Speaking of model apartment...take a closer look even in that one and you can find broken windows and horrible doors and frames. Enjoy the view from the balcony but dont look up! Gross!
Simply put if you want to give your money away and live in a tent on the grounds, go for it! Just dont sleep in the geese SH%*!
