My spouse and I have lived here for 2 years now. WE CAN'T WAIT TO GET OUT....On our initial walk through, we reported issues. They still haven't fixed them. When I inquired about them last year 2006, they said we should have followed up...Why is it up to the TENANTS to follow up on THEIR work orders... I even called when we heard a mouse in the apartment. Well low and behold, we received no reply. So I wrote a letter to the property manager. However, I was told he was unavailable and had to a leasing agent(I saw him in the other room). Again I was told that I should have followed up. They did fix some things, but not all.
They wouldn't give my husband a key to our sliding glass door. They said, "We aren't issuing any keys for them. We are trying to discourage tenants from using them as enterances to the apartments. Otherwise, we would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining them." SOOO THEY GIVE US A PATIO WITH A SLIDING GLASS DOOR, but don't want us to use it.... Isn't that one of the perks of living on the 1st floor. What's interesting about it, is our neighbor works for the property and uses his all the time.
So it's now 2007, becasue they never fixed an issue with the shower, we now have MOLD, yes MOLD in the bedroom closet. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT, They told us we could still stay here. They said that they would fix it all and get rid of it. They removed the Rug, never replaced it. Verbally told me that they needed to do 3 stages to remove the mold, but our written documents stated that they only did 2. They fixed the shower, but never replaced it like they said they would. I have been getting sick since October of 2006. They know that, but don't seem to care. They had the nerve to ask if we had rental insurance.... IT'S THEIR FAULT NOT OURS... They told us they would do construction to redo the shower, fix the leaky toilet, remove any and all mold. That was weeks ago, nothing has been done. They are doing construction all over the place on EMPTY apartments but not fixing the ones where their MONEY is coming in. SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE.
Bottom line, they don't know how to speak to people.... They recently lost our rent check and sent us a notice. They claimed they couldn't find the check, but yet when we called back to provide the check number, they corrected us saying we gave them the wrong one..... WELL HOW WOULD YOU KNOW IF YOU DIDN"T HAVE THE CHECK.
They clean the grounds around the front and leasing office. But they forget about the backs of the buildings. HELLO we all pay the same rent.
I hope Picerne Real Estate Group reads these reviews. I sincerly hope they know that they need to re-think who they have in the management office here. NO customer service, no follow through, nothing at all. I would love to get in there and change things around. There is no Tenant satisfaction at all.
I FEEL LIKE I AM PAYING WAYYY TOOOO MUCH MONEY FOR A DUMP!!!!!!!!!

I have to apologize for Ranting and Raving, I am just really upset.

I am a resident at Villa del Rio and I can explain the sliding glass door issue. I live on the first floor. The way I understand it is as follows. Due to safety regulations, they are no longer installing key locks on the slider doors. If someone were to fall upon entering or leaving the apartment, that would be a serious liability. For example with snow/ice, it's difficult enough for them to sand the roads and pathways nevermind to add every patio. I think that's about hundred units. They already go way out of their way to help the residents clean off their cars and moving them and to top it off that's usually the office staff not just the maintenance. I can see their point of view and I can deal with that. I don't know anything about the mold issue but I can say that the maintenance team, office staff, and their residents relations coordinator is fabulous and I love living here.
