The best thing about the building is the gorgeous apartments. I can hear the waterfall outside my window and so far besides the occasional barking of a dog or mewing of a cat we don't hear the neighbors. The office staff seems friendly and have addressed all my concerns so far and the maintenance staff has fixed anything we find wrong. We have gotten a great apartment for our money.

Smoking, the apartment building doesn't allow smoking in the common areas inside (which would be good), but that doesn't seem to stop those inconsiderate from smoking near the building where it can flow into these nonsmoking areas.

Animals, they allow dogs and cats. This isn't that bad except for the fact that some inconsiderate tennants don't pick up after their pets and allow them to pee inside on the carpets in the hallways. Dogs like to fight occasionally and some owners don't seem to have trained their animals at all.

Nosey (not noisey) Neighbors, A lot of people seem to gossip here. I only worry that someone being nice to your face may start a rumor like the ones I hear just standing outside in the common area. Don't share anything you don't want others to know or pass around about you.

The Ugly:
Parking, don't expect to be happy with the parking situation, You either have to park outside in a tandem spot or in a lift parking garage where you worry about hitting you car on the sides everytime you park. Larger trucks and SUVs won't fit in the lift. You will probably have to walk a long way with your stuff from your parking spot to the apartment. Oh yeah, there is no guest parking, but you can park at your own risk in a public parking lot a block away with very little safety lights.

Conclusion:
While I've added mostly negative things to this review Royal Mills is an exciting place to live and I look forward to what the future will bring to this apartment complex.


**** New entry TRASH!!! why do my inconsiderate neighbors ignore signs and common sense' The trash room is for you to put your trash in the trash shoot not leave in the room. If it doesn't fix take it to the 1st floor trash room like the management has asked. If you need someone to show you how to open the trash shoot door please ask me or someone with common sense. The negative reviews for this apartment is probably coming from those who were feed up with the worst neighbors I've ever seen.
