Country Club Apts...what a joke!!!

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
I signed a yearlong lease because I was put into a bad situation and did not have adequate time to actually research the development before agreeing to rent. When I did visit the place they showed me an acceptable show apartment that looked like it had never been lived in. When I asked to see the actual apartment I would be renting they refused because they were "installing carpet and painting." When I went back two weeks later they had JUST put the carpet in and had painted the same day that I moved in. I also didn't get my mailbox key for over 2 weeks because they had to change the locks because the lady living there before me still had it. I have been here less than 8 months and the management has already changed 2 times. The people in the main office are rude, and obviously do not collaborate with each other at all. As far as maintenance...you might as well not report ANYTHING because it won't be fixed. I had new carpet installed before I moved in and there was paint all over it from the paint crew when I got there. Since I moved in the walls have all warped severely upstairs. The windows are aweful. You would have more insulation if you didn't have any in sometimes I think. The water pressure is horrible, but then again, you aren't required to pay for water. I had to personally repair my own dishwasher, and they still haven't come to repair it even though I reported that over 2 months ago. It is always freezing downstairs, probably because of the drafty doors and windows. My front door has dry rot at the bottom and what did they do instead of just replacing the door' They put a metal doorkick at the bottom to hold it together. My back storage unit...I think someone could pull it off with their own hands because of water damage. My linoleum flooring has rips in it in both bathrooms and my fridge came without the drawers in the bottom and a broken shelf. I rarely venture out at night. The only time I am out there for an extended period of time is to walk my two large dogs. That is probably the only reason I feel safe there and I am a 6'3" 225 pound man that has a second job as a personal trainer!!! I have had to drive past my mailbox repeatedly in order to avoid suspicious activity. If you report anything, nothing is done for AT LEAST 2 weeks. Granted the community does TRY to get their tennants involved. In my opinion this could be considered government housing quality. I am breaking my lease in order to get out of this hell hole ASAP. I have been extremely unhappy living here and my girlfriend has told me repeatedly that she HATES this place. I lived at Shadow Creek for a year before this and they killed me with their higher prices. If I had to decide between the two apartments on a limited budget...I would DEFINITELY go back to Shadow Creek and go broke living there rather than living here and having to worry about EVERYTHING...not to mention I have had bug problems since I moved in and earthworms crawling THROUGH my front door when it rains. I have actually had bugs turn up in my bed. NOT something I want to come home to!!! UGHH...
