Worth Less than they think

From the outside, they look fairly decent, but they have their serious flaws. The front door has a huge gap that shows through light. The back door is falling apart at the bottom, and the paint job is sloppy. In the back yard there is a large hole in the ground, next to a culvert drain. When we came here, the back yard, where our patio is, was nothing but mud. We were promised it would be sodded very soon. Well, that never happened. The hole, which if you're out walking in the evening, has already, caught me.
There are other issues. Our building has 24 units, but only 15 parking spaces nearby. Unless you get home early, you have a bit of a walk with your groceries. While they look nice, they are of cheap construction. I swear that we live downstairs from Big Foot. The floor noise is horrible, and has kept us up at night. Even now, as I write this, it sounds like troops marching.
I had a problem with one of the appliances. I put in a work order, and nothing ever happened. I put it in a second time. After a couple of weeks, I ended up fixing it myself at my own expense.
And don't forget the horrible security gate. Unlike most places that have these, you don't get a remote control. Instead you get this little credit card you have to wave at a box. That means you have to open your window each time you want to enter. For visitors, you have to use a call-box. That was a mess, as it took three months for them to get our phone numbers correct.
The gate is often broken. Yesterday my wife could not get out the exit gate, and traffic backed up. Later in the day, the entry gate was jammed and stuck, and opening and closing on one side.
Other places give you a decent remote, and a 4-digit code. They have a "secret" code for the police and deliveries, but they often change it without notifying those that need it. This has also caused several missed newspaper deliveries.
I also once had to let the Sheriff's department in when the code was changed, as they were stuck at the gate. There were 5 cars behind them waiting to enter. I had to get out of my car to walk up to the box with my card to let them in. I've also been stuck behind UPS and FedEx when the codes get changed without notice.
Overall, way over-priced, and non-responsive. Look elsewhere and avoid this sham.

After speaking with my wife we both agree it sounds like you have never lived in an apartment before? Of course your going to hear some sort of noise, maybe next time you should consider living on the third floor! I just moved in last month and I love it here! Of course there is some mudd around it's rain season. You really think that there is any control over that? I had a prblem with my thermostat not to long ago. The maintenance guy came over and replaced it the same day. I tought that was pretty great customer service. The gates are electrical of course because they are man made there is no garantee that there going to work without any complications. I have seen people enter in through the wrong sides and bang there cars against the gates!! Do you think that this could have been the reason the gates may not be wroking?? Great place to live don't listen to this guy!!
