I lived at the Westbury Park Apts. for a little over one calender year and my time there was, to say the least, interesting.

For staters the staff was, at least at that time, extremely polite and pleasurable. I cannot remember the woman I dealt with but she was professional, outgoing and overall very nice. The apts. themselves are somewhat attractive, if slightly small, and generally the grounds are kept clean. But, sad to say, I recently called Westbury for a phone number to the cable co they employ and was informed by an extremely rude associate that they had changed to a different provider. Nevertheless, the woman who answered the phone could not have been rudder!

Most problems seem to stem from many fellow renters who are loud, obnoxious and behave as though it was their first time away from home. Loud cars, partying in the picnic areas and overall being extremely hostile. I don't blame the staff for this but feel as though they need to take greater care in who they rent to. Plus to add to the problems many renters own dogs who are simply uncontrollable. Twice I had large dogs run away from their owners and proceed to snarl, bark and act as though they might attack at any given moment. Completely unacceptable behavior and even then the dogs owners laughed as though it were funny and understandable. Again, many renters were of somewhat dubious origins so prepare yourself.

Lastly, there is only ONE location for the washer/dryers and since my apt. did not come with them I had to trek from the very back of the complex to the front whenever I needed to do laundry. There should at least one more washer/dryer unit in the back for those who need to use the facilities.

Oh and on a somewhat less serious side...upon my initial move-in the couple directly above mine were, shall we say extremely frisky, and due to some rather cheap insulation I could hear pretty much everything that the love-struck couple were up to. Fortunately they moved out soon after I arrived so happily my 'cheap thrills' were short lived.

Overall, nice apts. with an ideal location. Just prepare yourselves for some rather unusual fellow renters. Oh and take a can of mace for unruly dogs.
