Traffic--a nightmare, No good grocery stores nearby, Not well insulated from smells or noise, too pricey for what you get!

I have lived at Ashley Crossing since 2006. It is miserable. As a person who has lived at 4 different apartment complexes in different cities, this is by far the most expensive and worst I have chosen. The people below me smoke and I smell cigarette smoke constantly. It fills up my dryer as well so if I do not remove my clothes immediately, I am forced to rewash them. I also have to odo-ban my dryer and run it for 10 minutes before I can use it. I complained to maintenance and their solution was to run the dryer for 10 minutes before use. Glad my power bill gets to be increased and everything is inconvenient for me because my neighbor smokes and the apartment exhaust is combined between our untis.
The noise is extremely bad here. I hear my upstairs neighbor's every footstep and can even tell you he is tone deaf since I hear him singing in the shower louder than the volume on my own TV. The insulation is pathetic here.
The suddenly completely new staff seems clueless so far. I can't wait to get out of here! If you are moving to Charleston, do not live here! I agree with all the other reviewers. Traffic is a nightmare, there are no good grocery stores nearby, apartments are not well insulated from smells or noise, too pricey for what you get!
