Nice place to live

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
I moved to Charleston in 2003, and these were the first apartments I lived in. It was convenient for me at that time, and I absolutely LOVED my unit. It was a 1BR/1BA, and it was a good value for the money. I didn't think the rent was high when compared to other apartments nearby. Although it offered very few amenities, the landscaping was very nice (I used to feed the turtles at the big pond) and the management was the best I've ever experienced before or since. Once when I was gone for work for three months, they actually checked in on my apartment and delivered my mail to it once a week!! Although I loved my unit, I moved after 6 months for a couple of reasons: it became too cramped for me and the traffic situation was a NIGHTMARE! I'm surprised to hear that the city still hasn't done anything about it. Anyway, I moved to Heron Reserve just up the street, and I lived there for two years. They were much pricier and the management was less friendly/accommodating, but the location was perfect. I had a beautiful apartment, it was spacious, and there was NO problem with getting out/in during high traffic times. I still missed Ashley Crossing, but Heron Reserve better suited my needs. Both were great places to live, and I deeply regretted moving to N.Chas after the fact.
