I am a young woman of good taste, and I can surely tell you that despite the negative reviews that were out there, Atlantic Palms Lane apartments in North Charleston, S.C are really FABULOUS! The pictures on apartmentguide.com do not give it justice! They are great pictures, but the club is very beautiful, expecially on the office side! Also, the pool is right next to the club and it is very big for an apartment pool! Everything here is VERY neat, clean, and new! Parking really isn't bad, and in the club they even have Sharper Image massage chairs in the t.v room!
The manager is very very sweet and I have had a few conversations with her at the club.
When we arrived in our apartment it was totally CLEAN! All of the appliances are white (which accents the light counters and the floor) & Whirlpool and they are NEW like the apartments, so they won't break down on you. The refrigerator, the oven, everything was very shiny and clean! They make people pay up if they leave it a mess, so you are sure to have it clean! The management even left us a cute welcome note on our fridge, stove-top, and an oven glove stuffed with snacks. They also made sure it smelled great too! I fell in love with the smell of our place, it is floral and fruity.
The park is right next to us! We have a great view of the park from our guestroom & livingroom!
Also, the reviews about people "feeling unsafe" are quite funny. They must realize it's CHARLESTON. Charleston is NOT known to be safe! Atleast with the apartments, it's down the road and not just out there in plain view. Plus, we have a gate. A gate that blocks some people is better than no gate at all!
Lastly, we have an on-site police officer. He lives in Atlantic Palms! I have heard him in the middle of the night speaking to a couple who were arguing. He takes care of things. The maint crew are a couple of funny guys, they really are characters.
VERY VERY nice resort-styled place! Love the palm trees too!
p.s: about the Manager named Maria, they gave her the boot before I even got here,we have a GREAT management team!!
Living here makes me feel I'm at home in California. It was built with such style, I LOVE love love it!

I'm about to move to Atlantic Palms myself. After going on a tour I fel in love with the place. Many people may believe that 700 for a one bed is alot but in the long run its worth it. I am coming from Pine Harbour apartments, a very unsafe neighborhood where women are harassed on a daily basis. I gated in community is about as safe as you can get!
