I visited at least 30 apartments all over the Chas/N.Chas area when I moved here. In hindsight, I could have paid a lot less to live in a much nicer place. This place seemed really nice -- looks well kept, staff was nice, nice sized apartments. Of course, on that day it wasn't raining. The first weekend I moved in, the entire place flooded. Sure it was a pretty good drenching of rain -- but there was nearly a foot of water in the parking lot and water an inch or two away from coming into my apartment door. Everyone who lives here has to pull their cars into the higher grassy areas to keep them from flooding -- of course this means you are stuck there until the water recedes which usually takes 4-6 hours. Managers and owners know -- they don't care. Repairs -- even small things -- take months. I have filed 4-5 work orders for each repair in as many months and none of the things requested have been fixed. I keep being told that the repairs must be prioritized. When I finally flagged down a maintenance guy to talk to him about it -- he acted like the work orders never even got to him! Sounds to me like management isn't even turning in our work orders. Overall, I'm just glad to leave. Yes the apartments are a really nice size and layout. Yes the landscaping and buildings look nice. But renter beware -- it will flood, nothing will be repaired, and you will probably end up paying a lot of money to get out of your lease too!
