Ok, so we have lived at the Islands for over a year. Here are a few things that have happened since we have lived here:

*the garbage disposal quit working TWICE.

*the flushing mechanisms in all 3 toilets broke

*the floors creak VERY loudly upstairs (enough to wake a baby downstairs)

*our next door neighbors car was stolen from IN FRONT OF our house!

*the managment left a police sketch on everyones front door of a wanted man. When we contacted the office to ask why, we were told that the police just wanted to question him about another case. When we called the police department, we were told he was a RAPE SUSPECT!

*several cars have been damaged (i.e. windows smashed, burglary, etc) in the past few months

*the trim around the inside of the front door just fell right off!

*ants invaded our home. We were told that there was nothing they could do except place a few ant traps around the house.

*so many college kids that this place seems more like a 24/7 frat party (they all gather outside and put kegs in their pickup trucks, then place tables with cups on them. just what a family place needs: a public kegger!)

*the stairs have begun to fall apart

*nails are backing themselves out of the stairs for some reason (ouch!)

*with so many parties going on, it's hard to find a parking place near your own house, plus when the drunk kids leave it's usually about 2-3am and they're very, very loud (right out your front door; once, someone parked in our bushes!)

*Every single smoke detector (hardwired into the ceilings) fell out.

Is this enough to make you realise what you are getting yourself into' There are many other placed better than this, my friend.....

**Update**

They hand you a nice little checklist to complete before moving out. Better be prepared to spend $25 per toilet that they do no deem to be clean enough!
