The apartment was ok. Enough space. It was check out time that was ridiculous. They charged us $20 to sweep the kitchen (they took a picture of the two pieces of dog food they found in the utility closet). They tried to charge us for the ceiling repairs from where the bath tub leaked (thir fault by the way) until I got a lawyer involved. That quickly came off the bill. They tried to keep our deposit because we had two dogs, but oops on their part, I kept copies of all the original paperwork. Thank goodness I knew a good lawyer. Watch out, they're sneaky!!

Why would they keep your deposit because of dogs? Didn't you tell them you had dogs at the signing of your lease? Did you pay a pet deposit or did you fail to mention the dogs? Maybe the dogs pee'd and stunk up your carpet???? A dog owner would not smell it as they are used to it but the next tenant might...just a thought. I will make sure that I leave my place clean as a whistle when I leave. Thanks for the heads up on the 20.00 fee.

Dear Former Resident, If you did have pets (registered or unregistered) and there was any damage you would have been charged for that. As far as sweeping the apartment goes, we do ask that you leave the unit "reasonably clean", which includes making sure the baths, kitchen, etc. are wiped down, and that carpets and floors are swept and clean as outlined in your lease agreement. We have never charged anyone for damages from a leak or something that was noted on a move in inspection, so I would be happy to research this if you would like to contact me. I am sorry you felt that your experience was not excellent and we appreciate your comments to help us better serve residents in the future. Lisa Lynes Property Manager
