Plantation Oaks was my very first on-my-own apartment 4 years ago. I was only there a year, but I must say, it wasn't a bad place to live. Its definitely not a 'luxury' place, but the staff was great, the grounds were always well-kept, and I never had maintenance issues.

A word of advice-- Get a location that isn't adjacent to I-526. The trucks get a little loud at night. Otherwise, great place for the money.
