These apartments are good size for the money and Mary Anne is a sweet heart (she runs the place) but when I moved in the apartment had roaches so bad I had to move back out the next day. They were everywhere, coming out of everything. It was really gross. I couldn't even feed my cat without them getting in his food. I thought maybe it was something that would go away in a few days but when i was trying to go to sleep that night and a roach crawled acorss my pillow, i knew I had to leave. The neighbors said that they didn't have any problems with roaches, but then that same day I was moving in, someone else was changing apartments because hers had roaches so bad. I dunno... i would say this place is hit or miss. It was all sort of unprofessional, since i was allowed to move in my stuff before signing a lease, but it worked out well for me in the end since Mary Anne just let me leave, and gave me my money back. I guess I would just reccomend that you see the actual apartment you would be moving into first before you decide if you want to live there or not. If you get home from work or whatever after like 7pm, there is no parking left for you. And I could hear my neighbors every move through my wall. And too, when I moved in, nothing had been cleaned really, the carpet hadnt even been vaccumed, there was stuff on the stove, and the wood on the outside of the pourch and around the windows was rotting away.

I agree with the above review in regards to the parking and unprofessionalism of the way Planters Trace is being ran. My main problem with Planters Trace is the drug activity that goes on after 5pm and all day and night on the weekends. On the front of the complex there are known drug dealers who do business right out in the parking lot and young teens who run in and out of the drug dealers appartments at all hours. Teens have been cought around Planters Trace smoking pot but were only warned and the activity only continues. If renters who engage in drug activity on that property were evicted on their first offence, there would only be a few appartments still occupied. My friends and I have informed the proper authorities of what has been going on around there for quite some time and we are told that the problem is not only one of the residents but deeper than that within this comples. We decided to move because we were told that "You have to let the little ones go in order to catch the Big one" Maybe the official is a fisherman but that's a crock of you know what if you ask me. All in all if you have teen and don't want them to come up pregnant or involved in drugs........"STAY AWAY FROM PLANTERS TRACE".

New management here, which has remodeled. They have updated the aestethics of the place, but the bones are the same. The new management has little concern for difficulties of the tenants. Some of the neighbors here are obnoxious. They think nothing of becoming violent with no provocation. If you decide to move here: be very careful. My advice would be to not associate with anyone here, as people are not what they seem. The most violent ones are not the ones who sit on the steps with their beer and cigarettes. They are the ones who show their pride in their alma mater and drive nice cars and are seemingly "normal". They will lash out in violence for no reason. In addition, there is a pervert living in building 3. Do not know if he has ever been convicted of anything, but no doubt he is guilty. Had several different occasions of items stolen. Even had a Christmas wreath stolen from the door! The maintenance staff will come quickly if there is a legitmate emergency, but if you need a normal repair, you will wait for months. The bug problem referred to by other reviewers, is gone. Also, the insulation in these apartments is almost non existent. The utility bills are VERY high.
