South Pointe has been a pretty average living experience for me. I'm a single guy who keeps to himself, and I don't get bothered easily by the little things. The apartments aren't much to look at on the outside, but the inside is above average. Parking is sometimes sqeezed, this is mainly due to the fact that they have a lot of -------- who live here and there are like 5 of them to a 1 bedroom apartment. I've had mixed results from the maintenance staff. On one occasion they got it fixed the same day I reported the problem, then I reported a minor problem and they haven't been here to fix it and it's been a month. I like the hardwood laminate flooring, every room but the bedroom and bathroom has it. The living room/dining room area is pretty spacious for a one bedroom. The kitchen appliances are older, but I like the walk through kitchen and there is plenty of space. Space is a big plus, there are two closets in the bedroom, and three in the hall. Sometimes if the neighbors are cooking something with a strong smell, you can smell it in the whole building. I've had a problem with palmetto bugs, and they spray monthly but it doesn't seem to kill them, although I haven't had a problem with any other type of insect. The management staff seems nice. My lease runs up soon, and I am still deciding if I want to renew or not. In this recession there are other places that offer more for the same or even less. If it had a washer/dryer connection or a patio/balcony for the same price, I'd be staying for sure.
