I had a terrible experience living at Woodbridge Apartments. The apartment that was rented to me was in terrible condition; the rug was old and had multiple cigarette burns, the paint job on the walls was terrible including many patches that really stuck out, tiling in the kitchen broken and sliding around under foot, and water leaking through a window frame on rainy days (I was on the first floor, imagine what the second and third floor leaks where like). I was told once I moved in that all those items would be fixed, one year later upon moving out not a single issue that I brought up was taken care of.
Another gripe I have about Woodbridge is the staff! As soon as I moved in I felt like I was duped into renting an apartment in such terrible condition. Just moving out of the apartment was a headache all in itself. And then there s the issue with trying to get my security deposit back! According to the staff the apartment that I lived in sustained damage and I am not entitled to my security deposit. The apartment sustained no damage while I lived there; the apartment was already damaged enough when I first moved in! Three months later I m still working the issue to try and get my money back. But given the experience that I have had with the shifty staff thus far, them not wanting to give me my security deposit back does not surprise me!
Save yourself a headache and do not move into Woodbridge Apartments!

First of all, why the hell would you move into and pay for a damaged apartment for a year? You are an idiot. That is what the move-in inspection papers are for. You write your complaints, sign and turn it in. Then they are supposed to walk through and you sign the same paper under "move-out inspection." It is your fault you're an idiot and that "------" staff has been nothing but wonderful to me and my family. Maybe you should have familiarized yourself with tennant-landlord laws before you paid for an apartment you weren't happy with. IDIOT

First of all, the fact that you mention that you live here with your family immediately tells me that you are low class and uneducated. I can't imagine why anyone that made good money or had kids would want to live at this place. I however am I full time college student so I have an excuse. You are just a low life that will live in apartments your entire life. Typically before moving in, people do not see the inside of their assigned unit until the actual move in day. Therefore, there is no way to know the condition of the place until the day the lease begins. Normally on the day of move in, people have already hired movers or have had people help them move their furniture into a Uhual. As most of us all know, moving to and from a new place is very time consuming and not fun. Even if you fill out the move in inspection form with the documented damages and repairs does not automatically mean that everything will be fixed. Do you really honestly believe that by just simply documenting these things will make the apartment magically replace the carpet that day? If so you are delusional. Or maybe people should just go camp out in their Uhual until Woodbridge decides they will replace it. The only thing the inspection paper and walk through does is acknowledge what damage was previously there so you will not be charged when you move out.

Frankly, I live here with my kids and not because I have no class, but simply because we have a large family and the apartment size was the only one we could afford in the area to fit us all. Plus, the school our kids are in is worth living in West Ashley, but the houses are TO expensive. I however do agree that we also moved in and our apartment was filthy as well. Considering we moved from out of state and we were shown the MODEL apartment did not mean that we could just turn around and move back out of state on the drop of a dime. The inspection sheet basically showed we would not be responsible for the damages.......and then we had to wait months to get items fixed.....no choice but to stay! We couldn't come up with another down payment for another apartment! Saying someone living here simply because they have no class if very wrong! There are many good families that also live in low income housing and that doesn't mean they have no class simply because they do not have the means to pay the $1500 mortgage for a home!

I documented all the damage in the apartment upon move in! Upon moving out they said I would get my security deposit back within 30 days. Thing is I deployed to the Middle East ten days after moving out. When I called to inquire about my security deposit while deployed they said the apartment sustained damages. Since I was overseas I couldn't very well go over to the apartment and argue with them that all damages where on the move in inspection sheet. So I accepted that I had gotten screwed!
