Best value in Clemson

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I lived in the 600 building for two years in 2006 and 2007 with three roommates while attending Clemson University. The location was great. I walked downtown often (just have to cross 123) and walking to campus is very doable if you don't want to wait for the CAT bus. It got pretty noisy on the weekends, but 600 building was a little removed from the other buildings, so it never kept me up. There is a ton of parking, so parties were easy, but they towed non-stickered cars every now and then for no reason.
The place was a little old, but everything worked fine. The heat and AC distributed somewhat evenly, but the bedrooms were never the same temperature. The grilling area and dumpster were kept up pretty well. We had an issue when an the apartment above us started leaking water into our laundry room. The maintenence was questionable in quality and timeliness. Our place was decently nice, but the owner of our neighbors' unit in the 500 building had new carpet and furniture and was much nicer.
University Place is way cheaper than anything in Central, and the location is great. For the price, you can't beat it.
