I moved to 42 Magnolia with high hopes of finding it to be one of Columbia's nicest complexs but have found myself dispointed in many aspects. Upon moving in to my unit it appeared to be clean but after I started performing my own cleaning, I found it to be nasty to say the least. It took me several days of heavy duty cleaning to get it to a state a felt comfortable living there. As far as the kitchen, it is pitiful and it obvious they purchased the cheapest appliances available. The refrigerator is small and cheap, the dishwasher only cleans the dishes if you run them multiple times, the stove fan doesn't vent, the oven is not regulated, etc. Also, the heating/air conditioning is by far one of the worse items in the unit as it cycles on and off constantly and never seems to adequately heat or cool the unit. I have complained to management but they ignore my issues saying everything is working great.
The complex does have an attractive club house and pool. However, the pool is a little small. Also, they allow smoking in the pool area and the smell get so overwhelming, it has force me and others to move or leave. Workout room is ok.
All and all the complex is ok but for the price is not worth the money.

I sgree with you on every issue. The smoking was so bad around the pool that my children and I had to leave. Also, they were alot of drunk college kids playing rough.
