DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!

I just moved out from Ashland Commons after living there for 5 years. I hated it!!!! the only reason i stayed was because the rent was low. The property manager is more concerned with leasing apts than with taking care of tenants. I had black mold in my air conditioning unit closet, my car was broken into, I had a leak that busted out the ceiling in the hall and master bathroom- of which only the hall was fixed, leaving holes in my master bath ceiling. All safety concerns were swept under the rug as not to ruin the perfect occupancy rate. my neighbor was attacked and almost sexually assaulted and the guy got away. when the prop. manager was told she asked that we not tell others and not to frighten them....then later when i spoke to one of the neighbors they said they had a break in and that she told them that"nothing like that ever happens here" and this was after she was made aware of the assault. the carpet is disgusting and i don't know when they replace it. my frig leaked for 3 years before they realized what was wrong and finally fixed it (they are famous for putting "bandaids" on problems) my elderly neighbor has a furnace that is basically hanging up by strands and strands of duct tape (you have to see to believe) and it roars like a train when its on. this past winter she didn't turn it on at all because she was scared that it would catch on fire and she's 80!! The other lady that works in the office is very nice and easy to deal with. Unfortunatly the property manager is NOT and I would recommend that even though these apts are pretty well priced for this side of town, that you pay the extra money to have a safe and better place to live.
