Don't live here if you have young children

I am currently a resident here and I must say the property is very nice and quiet. The apartments are very spacious and the location is great. However, I have had several complaints from the resident who lives below me and have had several unprecedented and absolutely unnecessary visits from law enforcement because the resident had issues with my 2 year old playing or walking across the apartment during certain times of the day. I have never had parties or loud guests but the floors and walls are so thin that even if you walk across the apartment "too loudly" it can disturb other residents. I do not recommend this residence to those with young children and if you do decide to move here, please request a first floor apartment. Just realize some people don't understand children and I don't consider this residence a child friendly place. As a result, my lease is not being renewed because the resident filed complaints on my daughter numerous times and the staff never understood.

I feel so bad for you. I had a similar experience years ago when my (then) young children and I moved into an apartment from out of state. I was unaware that the apartment complex had been an adults-only community until the state outlawed the practice as discriminatory shortly before we moved there. I soon got the brunt of some of our neighbors?????? displeasure with the change. Like yours, the complaints were ridiculous, hearing footsteps or a ball bouncing on the sidewalk outside (during the day) and so forth. The apartment manager was always apologetic saying that she also thought the complaints were unwarranted but whenever they received a complaint they were required to give a warning to the tenant who was complained about. I put up with it much too long just not knowing what else I could do. Finally, fed up, I took all my little warnings and marched down to the police station to make a complaint that I was being harassed. (Honestly not knowing whether one can do that or not??????but I had HAD IT!) The officer told me there wasn??????t much they could do about it right then but suggested that I leave my complaints with them and to tell the apartment management that I am keeping a log with the police on harassment. We happily lived there for a few more years never seeing nor hearing of another complaint or warning again!
