I lived at BP for many years. It is the best deal in Columbia if you have the patience for Broad River Road. It's larger than most and has inside storage, a huge walkin closet, decent fridge and stove and a laundry room in each building. My utility bill was also very low. You have to ask them to spray for bugs; I used traps and was fine.
The neighbors can be as annoying as anywhere else, you just work with them. My view was nice in that there are a lot of trees. It can be a little noisy, but so is my new apartment-and the one before that. And they don't do Section 8. As far as what you get for the price, it's the best I've seen. They don't rip you off like a lot of other places. I miss that extra money.
The maintenance will fix your problems and in a timely manner. The main guy has been there a long time and is very helpful and friendly. The management actually gave me back my full deposit and all my pro rate with no fuss. I was really impressed.

The pleasant part of what you said is all lies. The part where you admitted there were roaches, terrible neighbors, and alot of noise is true. They might as well accept section 8. Brook Pines is already the ghetto. I actually know of projects that are safer than Brook Pines.
