Ok, I have beet at Charbonneau for almost a year and there are some good and bad things about it, but I think the bad outweight the good:
Good:
1. Pool
2. Setting with trees
3. Price
4. Washer/Dryer included
5. Cable included
6. Friendly office staff
7. Quiet
8. Parking not a porblem at back buildings
9. Safe
10. Fireplace
11. Dog friendly
12. Nice trails along pond

Bad:
1. Pool is never clean, always has leaves, cigarette butts, etc floating aroun in it. Also, the area is cluttered with trash
2. Buildings have mold growing on outside of them and vinyl siding falling--really need to be updated.
3. Can only fit like 2 pairs of pants and a shirt in the washer/dryer b/c it is so small.
4.Maintenance is half-ass. Took a month tp get a new disposal, ice maker's been broken for a month, dryer broken for a month. HAd a nice maintenance guy, but he has left and they can't keep anybody. Having to buy bags of ice to keep my drinks cold.
5. In spring, bees outside building make nests and swarm around you as you try to enter your apartment. Maintenance was contacted and they said the bees won't hurt you, just ignore them--there's nothing we can do about it. --------!! So, I went to Lowe's and got spray to take care of it myself.
6. Tiles in kitchen always come up and grout inbetween them constantly comes up. You can never get your floor clean b/c grout always comes up.
7. Grounds always have beer cans, bottles, etc that are never picked up.
8. Hot water heater sucks!
9. Electric bill in summer is out of this world. Mine was $170 and never went over $130 when I lived in a house.
10. Apartments constantly flodded due to rain. DO NOT LIVE ON BOTTOM FLOOR in building 12 or 13, or any building for that matter. These apartments have been flooded over and over.
11. Management is more concerned with sending you letters accusing you of things you didn't do than getting ---- fixed. For example, noisiness, throwing things out the window, when my rommmate nor I ever did such. HEll, we are never there, maybe spending one night a month there, so how could it possible be us!!
12. TRash is a major problem. After weekends, dumpster is so full that trash is all on ground. They need to get an extra dumpster, but will not. Their solution is for us to leave it in our apartment or outside teh door until the dumpster is empty--No wnder there's a bug problem!
13. Stray cats live in back dumpster and people feed them, causing them top stay, have more kittens, cycle repeats. Finally, the city did set traps and got some of them, but left about three cats. But one bit the dust by getting run over.
14. People park in the fire lane and are never told to move. Last week, there was a fire call that was a false alarm--just somke from a hot water heater--and the fire trucks could not get through to building 13 b/c some dumbass parked in the fire lane--a curb painted yellow and marked no parking. Teh trucks had to back out. This is really safe, what if it had been a true fire' Two weeks later, and the cars continue to park there!!!
15. Speed bumps are awful and need to be repainted.
16. Tennis courts are awful--has become a dog playground.
17. Dog ---- is everywhere b/c people don't pick up after their dogs.
18. Gym mebership is included, but it's 20 minutes away at Columbia Place Mall. Try getting there during 5:00 traffic. Gym was at St. ANdrews Athletic, but gym was sketchy an dclosed one day out of nowhere b/c owner was dealing drugs out of gym. How do I know this...b/c I went there and was getting trained by the owner and new something wasn't right b/c all guys hung out there all the time and never worked out. Then one of my friends who also trains, told me he was dealing drugs in the gym...and sure enough the Feds closed the gym down.
