Charbonneau is THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE in Columbia. The management is exttremely rude and unhelpful, especially Mandi is a complete -----! Also, the maintenance is AWFUL!!!! When we first moved in we turned in a two page list of things that were broken and needed to be fixed. A year later when we moved not one thing on that list had been tended to. If something does break, don't bother putting in a work order, because they will not come to even check on what the problem is. At one point, our hot water heater blew up and filled our entire apartment with smoke. We were told it was not a priority to fix it, so we went over a week without hot water. They "fixed" it about five times, refusing to replace it. Finally, when an outside service came to fix it they were astonished at the condition our appliances were in, and suggested a replacement. Also the structure of the building probably would not pass inspection. The whole apartment is on a slant, and if you push on the wall you can see it move. IF they had a security officer, we never knew who it was or how to contact them. Move out day did not come soon enough. I even had to deal with them after moving out. It took them four months to send me a refund check. Rent is outrageous and because of the poor condition of the building, the power bill will cost you about $200 per month.
