I came across this website while searching for an apartment for my son in Atlanta. If I had only known this was here earlier. Columbiana Lakes is certainly a nice property in regards to overall appearance and the location was great (if you don't mind Harbison traffic- don't try to turn left). In regards to the apartment itself, I loved it. In regards to the management,(or should I say the mulitutudes of mishaps that wonder through the office) I have other opinions. The latest and greatest of which are the worst. I have experienced everything from harassment by the management to falsified documents to the breaking of fair housing laws (i got nasty letters from the managers for behavior that was not my own when i moved in i was told i could not live upstairs because i had children and that would be a diruption to the people below and my lease had changes made to it AFTER I signed it.) The manager (Todd R. - don't recall the last name, don't think he ever introduced himself) when I left was a not a happy camper and I've never seen him smile. He was always bothering people for no reason. Making rules and then breaking them to suit his family and church group needs (brings mass numbers of people to the pool but then threatens us with letters if we have more than 2 people). I once heard him say to a group of residents that they couldn't have alcohol at the pool because he was a Christian and didn't believe in drinking. (Although, I do not drink, I do believe this is problem, not theirs.) I could go on and on about the feuds and wars and number of long term residents that have moved because of him and his half dazed (half drugged out/half asleep) assistant. Its been about a year since I left. And thank goodness. OH, by the way. I noticed in reading all of these reports that there was always a good remark within a couple of days after the bad ones.
