I have lived at Columbiana Lakes now for 2 years. There are a few things that aren't up to par. 1. The two time fired manager that wrote all of the nasty reviews about the tenants.(better now) 2.The jacuzzi has pretty much been hit or miss for the last year. 3. and the pool isn't taken care of as well as it could. (ex. It was shut down on 4th of July weekend by DHEC who waited for management or maintenance to show so that they could treat the pool, reopen, and everyone could enjoy the pool for the rest of the weekend. Neither ever showed after being called on twice.)
The most attractive reason to live here is the other residents. Families and singles all have a good time mingling at the pool, playing volleyball, and cooking out. You can almost count on going to the pool and running into someone friendly to talk to. I have lived in many apartments along the east coast and have never found such a friendly and socialable group of people all living in the same spot.
Each year I renewed my lease, my decision to stay was made easier because each year the manager had been fired. He was the worst representation for a company to have.

Hopefully the management company has opened their eyes to see that the residents of Columbiana Lakes have a lot to offer. We know that the company would like to have this be the best in the area. Many have great ideas as far as amenities that they would like to see, and what they would actually use from what has been planned. Possibly do a survey. See what people really want. You might be surprised.
