Crossroads is dirty. Dirty dirty dirty. The apartments themselves are filthy, the carpet was dingy and stained, there were chips in the countertops of both bathrooms and the kitchen. There was an army of roaches breeding in the pantry. They screw you out of money any way possible. If it is your misfortune to live here, make sure you pay very close attention to anything and everything. My roommate and I had a security deposit of $540...which was supposed to be equal to the amount of our monthy rent...and after the lease was printed they had raised our monthly price to $550 without saying anything. They are dirty dirty liars. Aside from that, it didn't feel incredibly safe. Truthfully I never had any real problems with the area or other tennants, it was the disgusting maintenance men that creeped me out the most. Always standing around their trucks outside just staring...I KNOW they have work to be doing.
