I moved to Columbia in 2006 and came out to Gable Hill. I was ready to move in and then I came about this website. I was scared to death when I read the reviews. I then moved down the street (I won't give the community name) and lived in hell for 12 months. I decided where I was at had to be the worst so I came back and looked at Gable Hill again. I discussed with the manager the reviews I had read and she made a good point. She said most people writing reviews have had a bad experience and some even are upset because they are made to live up to their contract. After speaking with her she assured me that if I moved in and was unhappy she would do whatever necessary to take care of me. I am glad I moved in. I have been here and now it is coming on time for me to renew. I will definitely be renewing my lease. Yes there have been some minor issues but I have to say they definitely want me to be happy. I have even seem the manager picking up trash. This impressed me. I love my apartment and I really love all the changes that are going on now. If you are like me and have been scared off by a review I say take another look.

You must live towards the front of the neighborhood because the back is awful. The garbage bins are always overflowing with garbage and the tentant are trifling. One guy was growing marijuana out in the open in building 11 and was reported to the office about it and nothing was done. Kristen said that she was on her way to see this plant that was sitting in broad day light by his door and she never came. I think atleast 3 calls were made about him having illegal drugs on the grounds but nothing was done until someone called the police and told the police that the people in the office knew about it but no one ever did anything about it. If I am going to live in a neighborhood like this, I would be expecting to pay $500 a month and not $700. So yhou enjoy your stay out here with these people.
