ABSOLUTELY AWFUL

I would recommend anyone to stay as far away as possible from this complex. While you think you may be getting an extraordinary deal on an apt with more sq. footage than most apts, you are honestly getting what you paid for. Rent is on the low side but what you save on rent you spend double on bills. The whole complex has trouble with air due to OLD OLD air conditioning wiring, hook ups, units, and vents. The air DOES NOT go to front bedroom however I'm paying $200 a month to SCEG. If the apt got as cool as $200 a month should pay for I wouldnt be so upset. I have come to the conclusion that turning the AC unit on or off does not cool the apartment any more or less and the up side to turning it off is it saves money. The apartment just simply does not ever cool off or make it below the smiltering temperature of 90 during the day and on especially hot nights. I sincerely worry about my dog that has to stay in the apartment all day bc it honestly gets that hot in the apartment even when the air is pushed down to 65. The staff is about as unconcerned with your problems as it gets, and they get paid for what' The maintance man wont enter apartment if there is a dog so be prepared to TAKE DAYS OFF work so tehy can repair something so you can be present with your dog. The pool is a sad excuse, I've contemplated a baby pool for more enjoyment. The weight room should not be a reason to move into the apartments. You could find more work out utensils around your house with cans of green beans and furniture than what the weight room has to offer. Trust me when i say the room they show you upon checking out the apartment complex has never been lived in, so while that MIGHT appeal to you, the actual apt they put you in has been lived in and that simple fact will haunt you till the day you move out. Our apartment has been tested and come back positive with mold, the staff says oh well, so my roommate and i suffer with runny noses and coughing every season. My front bathroom the towel racks and toilet tissue holder have all come out the wall. The walls are added a fresh new 100th layer of paint upon moving in, and when nailing something to the wall the paint cracks into a nice jagged line from floor to ceiling. Its sad when you actually get used to the bugs, and can tell on a daily basis when the bug count has risen from 100 to 200. After complaing to the office about the bugs and air problem about 3 times a month, they offered me the cool satisfaction that there was nothing more they could do, and I was more than able to contact outside help to correct the problems that I have and what they just wont fix. The courtesy officer consists of an empty police car sitting in the parking lot, that in turn gets broken into as well as a neighbors car about 2 times a month and the staff offers no apologies or what can we do to help you. The tennis courts should be taken out the premises bc it serves more as a safety problem than a court to do anything on. I wish I had listened to one of these reviews prior to moving in. It really is as bad if not worse than ppl make it out to be. Any good reviews are prob the staff trying to make a buck. Oh and the picture I have included, is where our steps came off the sides of the apartment and were hanging...the solution was caution tape for a couple days then instead of replacing them they added a bolt to the bottom. I guartentee someone will fall off or thru those steps soon, and hopefully they wont be anymore hurt than a broken leg, and a pretty nice lawyer to collect what should have been owed to past tenants.
