Paces Brook not worth the money

A few things you should know about Paces Brook:
-VERY unprofessional staff, needs serious training in conflict resolution and customer service. Where do they find these people'''
-Water bills are ridiculous! There is no way that water and sewer run what people are forced to pay here. $55 a month seems steep. I know people with 4 bedroom houses that pay less.
-The neighboring property is pretty rough - I wouldn't hang out at the pool or fitness center without a gun after dark.
-Regardless of what they tell you before you move-in, they are going to go up significantly on your rent when it comes time to renew your lease. Move to one of the newer places near by, they are about the same price, and you at least get updated stuff. The appliances here are probably the ones that have been there since the places was built.
-Don't expect a speedy response on anythign from the office staff. If you have a maintainance emergency, that is the only time you will hear back from ANYONE within a decent period of time.
Again, I would really like to stress the unprofessionalism of the management here. They are often downright rude. Good luck dealing with these people should you make the unfortunate choice to move-in here. Needless to say, we wish we had never moved here. The property looks beautiful on the surface, but for the kind of money I pay in rent, I really expect more professionalism and much better customer service from the staff, not the pettiness and rudeness that these girls have.

I have to disagree with these comments. We have found the staff to be very cooperative to all our needs. They have NEVER been rude. They have always been professional and fair in our dealings with them. The maintenance staff is courteous and responsive to meeting all our needs.
We love this place and feel very safe here. Our monthly rent actually was reduced at renewal.

I also disagree with these comments. I moved as I bought, but the staff was always great with me, and if I needed something, they were very responsive. I had even had the maintenance cell phone number, but rarely used it. As a single woman, I felt very safe. My rent went up, only because I couldn't sign another lease and had to go month to month, but it would have stayed the same if I'd been able to stay. My water bill was only about $20 a month (My new house runs about $80, which really makes me appreciate my water bills at Paces Brook).
