Lets start back when I first looked at the place. The gal who showed me around (the brunette) seemed like one of the nicest people ever. I brought my husband back and we signed up. The skank hit on him right in front of me after the lease was signed! My husband and I moved in with our daughter and our dog (who is about 40 lbs) in late 2003. Everything was great for a while. Garbage pickup, while it had been twice a week, had just been cut to once a week...no problem.

Then in February 2004, we switched to another apartment, something bigger, within Polo Commons. It was at that time that all hell broke loose! All dogs are supposed to be leashed and I was walking our dog down the stairs to go out to the pet area when another tenant was outside with her dog. The dog was not on a leash and came running at us. I ran up the stairs and fell/skidded across the cement and scraped my leg badly. I called the office and then the community officer. Nobody responded. I then wrote a letter to RAM Partners (Polo's parent company)...they called to see how I was before the Polo management did! They don't enforce the rules for people that they like!

The great neighbor from downstairs let me know that her ceiling was leaking from somewhere in our apartment...just wanted to let me know that this had been a problem since before I got there so it wasn't us and that that issue had been reported to management several times and nobody did anything about it. Maintenance would come up, look around our apartment to see if they could see a leak but could not so they'd leave, letting my neighbors apartment get wet while the ceiling rotted away.

No roaches, etc. on the 2nd floor in our building but we all had quarterly extermination.

The staff in the office were very unattentive unless you were one of their friends. All apartment-livers (with the exception of 2 I met) were all snobs and if you weren't "clique-ish with a lot of money" or your husband was not military, they wouldn't even talk to you...their kids were just as snotty!

The gates worked MAYBE 25% of the time. They're also easy to manually open and close, especially the back gate. Either nudge it with your car until it clicks in and auto opens or get out and push it open. I've done that many times on the main gates and back exit gate!

And the ballpark/soccer field lights...my God the lights! They'd stay on til way after 10pm for 10 months of the year, 7 nights a week, shining brightly into your apartment windows making it appear almost daylight and to get a child to sleep through that was almost impossible. Trash pick up stopped completely so you had to take it down to the compactor yourself. Breakfasts stopped too...I think. 1 maintenance guy for the entire complex who is grouchy always. The new manager, who replaced the former witch, is now resident witch. The only nice one in there is the newest of the office staff who is sure to be corrupted by the two witches in the office now! OH and when I was expecting a check for the closure on my old house (a check worth over $30k) seemed to disappear even after tracking said they dropped it off and it was signed for. I asked management and they said they didn't have it...10 minutes later they "found it" in the door of another apartment. It was opened! The check was certified. I believe they screwed up and were trying to cover their tracks.

So we bought a house finally and moved out. I called and said that I couldn't find one of the gate opener cards and that I must have packed it by accident but when I find it, I'd bring it right in. 2 days later I received a bill from Polo Commons for $35 for a lost card.

Stay away...they seem sweet until you sign the contract!

WOW, let me find out the apartment complex my wife and I are about to move into is outta control. However, we were there a few weeks ago, and the dude at the leasing office almost caught 2 to the head. He was all in wifey face maken me sick. But I was cool and it is all gravy. However, when next we meet, if some okey doke go down, it's on and poppen. Yet, we, shall, see.
