The apartments are just not well laid out. The atmosphere is pretentious and, because the apartments are so expensive, sometimes hard to fill with permanent residents. There is constant movement in and out. Some of the neighbors are noisy and trashy in their behavior. Also, it's hard to make a left turn in the morning on Hard Scrabble. Walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors do just about anything--even the most innocuous day-to-day activities.
