I would not recommend living here to anyone. My apartment flooded twice due to another apartment's water heater busting. I asked for new carpet and the manager refused. Both times, they put a fan in my apartment for a few days to dry it out. The mildew smell lasted for a couple of weeks and I believe got into my clothes (I now live in a new apartment and my clothes still have a mildew smell.) The manager told me that the mold would go away once the carpet dried. I took microbiology and know that is not true. I also had a big problem with bugs--but I did live near the river and they sprayed my apartment every time I asked. The bugs never went away though. When I moved out, they refused to give me my security deposit back because of stains on the carpet. Those stains were caused by the water damage!! I have pictures to prove it! I also have pictures of mold growing on the wall. The maintenance guys responded every time I had a problem, but they can only do so much. Mine wasn't the only apartment to flood either. There were four other apartments near mine that all flooded within a few months of each other. It is a problem there and the management knows it. Some of my neighbor's apartments were flooded much worse than mine. The carpet needs to be replaced. I feel sorry for whomever rented my apartment after me and hope they don't have any problems with flooding. I also hope my lungs aren't damaged after breathing in mold for over a year. The two office people are nice. I didn't have any problems with them, but the manager seems like she doesn't care about you at all. That is my impression after having been denied new carpet and my security deposit--which was damaged as a result of their flooding problem. They say the stains are my fault. I am a neat person and did not spill anything or walk in anything (besides the water-logged carpet) the whole time I lived there. It is crooked what happened to me and my hard-earned money. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! There are plenty of nicer apartments in the area that hopefully won't cheat you out of your money.
