I have been lived for one year and four and half month. The worst thing in the apartment complex is in management.

1. They appear to give you special offer for rental, but they charge more bill adding water bill which has a odd calculation system. It does not matter how much you use the water, but you have to just pay it. So, you have to pay more than your contract.

2. Reporting problems to mangement office do not help at all to solve problems. One or two days may be ok, but it comes out before a week. They do only minimum work and never fix thoroughly. You may have wasp nests in your unit, untighten screen doors, highly energy-consumed refrigerator which might be stayed few month outside and it goes to your unit when your refreigerator is broken, and so on.

3. Staffs are NOT friendly at all. They even made mistakes causing me to overpay my rental.

4. They skip a bug-spay often which is supposed to be performed every month.

5. You may hear very loud carpet vacuum cleaning nois at two clock in the moring on saturdays, because they hire carpet vacuum company and let them work at the early moring.

6. Stairway is always dirty and full of spider nets, spider and other bugs. Nobody cleans never.

7. The lights in hallways is completely covered by bugs, nobody cleans never.

I agree with you. Since I have been at the rivergate my water bill has consistently been going up each month. There is no way I use that much water.

I agree with you about the stairway being filthy/dirty. no one has come out to clean it since I move here. People let their pets poop right in front of the walk way. When it rains it reeks of pet urine. Spider webs/cigarette butts every where. The building needs to be pressure washed. The exterior of the building is just dirty. I also had a probelm with needing freon every 3 days.

I used to be a manager at another UDRT apartment community and the reason your water bills are so high is because your hot water meter really does not work! It is all a guess from the water company. Trust me ask to have your meter cked on your hot water heater. which then they may make up a lie and say they cked, make sure you are home when they do. The person that cks will have to call the water company while they are "testing" your meter. I am sure you will get the response that everything seems fine. See if the person cking will order you a new one. Say it looks old! This is the biggest reason I stopped working with UDRT the water company and UDRT have a deal in my opinion and I could not see the people that I moved in being treated like crap. I made sure they all knew everything that was going on and I made it a point to keep in contact with many residents to tell them about better places to live. ALL UDRT apartment communites will have a prob. with water bills!!!!
