I have been living in Rivergate for a year and me and my neighbors have had nothing but problems. I have had a water heater that burst and flooded my bathroom, hallway, and bedroom. The same night that mine burst there were two other residents that had the same problem in two other buildings so it took them about 2 hrs to get to me. Currently I have no electricity in my kitchen and this issue was claimed to be fixed today. When I got home from work I had to take all of my food out of the frig and take it to a friends house so it would not spoil. I am not able to cook on the stove or wash/dry clothes. I have had to call them numerous times about other issues, such as a microwave that caught on fire for no apparent reason. First the Apt Mgr, Teresa, tried to blame me but then she admitted that they had this problem in other apartments. Apparently it was an electrical problem with the built-in microwaves. I have had several electrical outlets go out. As previous people have said, the Gate never works. As a matter of fact, its not working now. The water/sewer bill has steadily increased since I have been here. This past month, my water bill was $35.62 for a 1-bedroom, and I am hardly ever home. Also, be prepared that if you call in a maintenance request they have about a 72-hour turn around time and they do not clean up their work, I've always had to do it when I got home. Hope this helps you make a better decision than I did. This is truly the worst apartment that I have lived in and I have lived all over this country. Its been a nightmare!!
